A Spanish doula in South Wales
About me
‘I am passionate about supporting families during pregnancy, birth and postpartum and creating communities so that new mothers feel less alone during the postnatal period’.

About me
Hi, I'm Pineda!
I live in Cardiff with my two wonderful children. our tabby cat Biscuit and my Dutch husband who convinced me to leave my hometown Barcelona and experience life abroad. We landed in Cardiff in the summer of 2020, loved the area and decided to stay here.
As a certified birth and postpartum doula, I am passionate about helping women and their partners feel positive, calm and confident in their abilities, and ensuring they feel supported.
I became a doula after my own experience of having my babies abroad, when I realised how beneficial it would have been for me and my husband to have had a doula with us!
Healthcare systems are different in every part of the world, but the needs of mothers and their partners are the same wherever you live. We all want support and loving care at one of the most important times in our lives. Doulas are amazing at providing ongoing support.
I consider myself a curious person with a passion for learning. I am also sensitive and warm and friendly, but sometimes impatient. I am amazed by the power of community, particularly women’s groups, and I enjoy organising circles for women who are about to become mothers.
I love spending time surrounded by nature with my family and friends.
My training
I became a certified birth and postnatal doula with Nurturing Birth in October 2023. I am Birth Doula recognised by Doula UK.
In January 2020 I started my postnatal doula training in Washington DC with Dona International, the largest evidence-based training and certification organisation in the US.
Further training and certifications:
- Breastfeeding Fundamentals Course- Lactation Education. 2021
- Postnatal Rebozo Massage and Closing the Bones Ceremony – Sophie Messager, 2022
- Birthing biomechanics – Shellie Poulter, 2024.
- Birth Trauma Training Programme – Make Birth Better, 2025.

I also have a Masters Degree in Psychology at the University of Barcelona and experience in the field of people with Autism and learning difficulties.
I speak Catalan, Spanish and English.

My experience
I have supported parents in consultant-led unit, midwife-led unit, home birth, HBAC and caesarean birth. I have experience with different communities. Every family is different, so I tailor my support to your needs and those of your partner.
The important thing is to know your options, so you can decide what feels right for you.
Giving birth is an intense experience, both emotionally and physically, and I will be there to support you every step of the way.
Let’s have a chat to discuss what you need and the best way for me to support you.
