About me
I believe in supporting families with honesty, humanity, respect, thoughtful care and a deep commitment to community and autonomy.
About me
Hi, I'm Pineda!
I live in Cardiff with my two amazing children, our tabby cat, Biscuit and my Dutch husband who convinced me to leave my hometown Barcelona and experience life abroad 🙂
I became a doula after my own experience of having my babies in the USA, when I realised how beneficial it would have been for me and my husband to have had continuous support from a doula, not only during labour but also during the postnatal period.
Healthcare systems are different in every part of the world, but the needs of mothers and their partners are the same wherever you live. We all want support and loving care during one of the most important times in our lives.
When I discovered the work of postnatal doulas, I knew I wanted to become one! So I began my training in postnatal support in the United States. Shortly afterwards, we moved to Cardiff, and that’s when I decided to also offer support to families during pregnancy and birth. It was a great decision, as it allows me to support families on a more ongoing basis.

I consider myself a curious person with a passion for learning. I am also sensitive, warm and friendly. I am amazed by the power of community, particularly women’s groups, and the benefits of belonging to them. I enjoy running circles for women in pregnancy, postpartum and motherhood.
I love spending time outdoors with my family and friends.
My training
I became a certified birth and postnatal doula with Nurturing Birth in October 2023. I am Birth Doula recognised by Doula UK.
In January 2020 I started my postnatal doula training in Washington DC with Dona International, the largest evidence-based training and certification organisation in the US.

My values and experience
I believe every family deserves care that is honest, compassionate and respectful. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to provide evidence-based information, create a space where you feel heard, and support you in making decisions that align with your own values.
I value community because pregnancy and parenthood are not journeys we are meant to navigate alone. I value autonomy because your body, your baby and your choices matter. I communicate with honesty and respectful assertiveness, always advocating for your wishes while remaining thoughtful and compassionate in my approach.
I have supported parents in a range of birth settings, including consultant-led units, midwife-led units, home births, HBAC, and caesarean births. I have experience working with families from diverse communities.
Every family is different, so I tailor my support to your needs and those of your partner.
