Pregnancy Circles

When my friend attended the first ever pregnancy circle and told me about it I knew it was for me! I had postnatal depression and anxiety after my first baby, due to COVID and having recently moved to Cardiff! I couldn’t see anyone due to COVID restrictions so I really did see the awful effects of not having a support network and a group of mum friends! I was even more determined to make this pregnancy and postpartum the best it could be.

Pineda puts a huge emphasis on the care and support of the mother which is so so important and it is something I remind myself of constantly!! The other women in the circle have already been a lovely addition to my village and as the babies arrive there is so much love for each other, I can’t wait to meet up with our babies and support each other postpartum. I would highly recommend the circle to everyone!!

Postnatal support

Pineda was a calming and supportive postnatal doula. She spent some time with me in my home when I was struggling with postpartum and was a breath of fresh air! She gave me support, kindness and practical help as well – ensuring I was totally cared for.

Postnatal support

I am so grateful to Pineda and the support she provided to our family. She took excellent care of both our newborn and our toddler and knew just what to do at the right moment. I would be happy to recommend her to any new parent looking for doula support!

Ella

Birth support

Pineda was my birth doula for my home birth, and I am extremely grateful for Pineda’s continued support, care, and reliability in the weeks leading to and during my labour! She was so gentle and clear. I felt understood and comfortable. With Pineda, I learned to trust myself and the birth process. I really felt her presence was like a big sister who accompanied me and shared her kindness and knowledge.

Pregnancy circles

Pineda’s warmth and knowledge is incredible. So brilliant at steering the sessions and making everyone feel comfortable and heard.

The fourth trimester post natal plan (very kindly emailed to me as this was a session I sadly had to miss) has really helped me to think about what those weeks after birth will be like, what my needs might be and how to access and ask for support.

Social group

I attended Pineda’s circles of mums and they were a god-send to me. I was still very much recovering from childbirth and getting used to my new life as a mum. I had been diagnosed with postnatal depression and those meetings with other mums and her saved my life. Pineda would say the right things so we could feel comfortable talking about our feelings, crying and laughing in front of each other, feeling vulnerable but strong at the same time. Those meetings sure lifted me up and made me feel that I wasn’t alone with my struggles.

I 100% recommend Pineda as a postnatal doula, that being in a group or in private sessions, you won’t regret it!

Rebozo Massage

I recently had the closed bones rituals massage at home with Pineda. I had my baby 2.5 years ago but due to the pandemic I couldn’t enjoy this massage before but it is never too late!. It was such an amazing experience. I cannot thank enough to Pineda, she is so gentle, calm and caring. She creates the perfect atmosphere for you to feel relax and protected. I would definitely recommend her to all my mums friends.

Rebozo massage

A few weeks ago I had my first “masaje de rebozo” (closing bones ritual) with Doula Pineda. I cannot recommend it more. My baby was already 12 weeks old so I had already healed physically but this massage helped me to heal emotionally too. To me, it was the way of showing gratitude to my body for having given me my precious baby. For those couple of hours I felt well looked after by Pineda, with a great female connection and very emotional at times, specially remembering my baby’s birth.

I’m thankful of having had it as it was helpful to close a chapter in my life and start a bright new one, enjoying motherhood at the fullest. Thank you, Pineda!
